Smart electricity meters to replace all traditional ones in homes by 2031

By July 2031, all electricity meters in Polish households are to be replaced with smart devices. The new meters will allow real-time monitoring of energy consumption, so billing will no longer be based on estimated values. The change is intended to improve billing accuracy and make energy management easier for consumers.
