NFZ plans to cut sanatorium funding from 2027 by scrapping a correction coefficient

The president of Poland's National Health Fund (NFZ) has submitted for consultation a draft regulation that would abolish the 1.05 correction coefficient used in spa treatment financing, resulting in lower reimbursements for sanatoria. In return, the facilities would gain greater freedom in choosing treatment specialisations. The changes are planned to take effect from 2027.
