Tennessee governor proposes renaming Nashville airport after Dolly Parton

Tennessee Governor Bill Lee announced a proposal to rename Nashville International Airport in honour of Dolly Parton, three days after her death. An earlier proposal to rename the airport for the country music icon had previously been floated during her lifetime. Parton was celebrated as a singer, actress and philanthropist who dedicated her life to her home state of Tennessee.
