Polish Territorial Defence Forces on heightened alert ahead of severe weather
Poland's Territorial Defence Forces (WOT) have raised their readiness level ahead of expected severe weather conditions. Defence Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz announced the alert, noting that the Government Security Centre and the meteorological institute IMGW have issued warnings. Soldiers are prepared to respond rapidly to civilian needs.
