Roman women's sanctuary to a mysterious goddess found in Spanish cave

Researchers have identified a Roman sanctuary inside Valencia's Cova de les Dones cave, already known for its Palaeolithic art. Evidence suggests women played an active role in worshipping an unidentified female deity at the site. The cave thus spans two distinct historical periods in a single location.
