Google to enforce RAM limits for new Android apps from February 2027

Google has announced changes to the Play Store: from February 2027, new Android apps will be required to stay within set RAM usage thresholds. The requirement is designed to improve app performance on cheaper, lower-spec devices that often have limited memory. Existing apps were not covered by the new rule at the time of the announcement.
