Chelsea FC signs USDC stablecoin shirt sponsorship deal
Circle, the issuer of the USDC stablecoin, has signed a front-of-shirt sponsorship deal with Chelsea FC, meaning the USDC logo will appear on Chelsea's jerseys in the upcoming season. The deal comes despite a recent warning from the UK's Financial Conduct Authority directed at football clubs about cryptocurrency advertising. It is among the first such crypto sponsorships in the English Premier League.
