Sabalenka heads to US Open in worst form in years as men's draw looks wide open
World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka arrives at Flushing Meadows as defending champion but in her worst form in over three years, having lost to unheralded Sára Bejlek in Cincinnati's third round despite leading 5-1 in the first-set tie-break. Since early April her record stands at 17-7 without reaching a single final. The men's draw is also considered unusually open this year, raising the prospect of a surprise winner.
