FAA fires two LaGuardia controllers who left shift early before fatal crash
The US Federal Aviation Administration has fired two veteran air traffic controllers at LaGuardia Airport who left their posts early before a fatal crash. Industry veterans revealed it was common practice for shift supervisors to let overworked controllers go home early as a reward. The FAA has announced it will investigate the matter further.
