Yorkshire Cricket cleared over £1.75m payment to chief executive's firm
The Cricket Regulator has cleared Yorkshire County Cricket Club without charges following a formal investigation into a £1.75m consultancy fee paid to a company controlled by CEO Sanjay Patel. The fee related to the £100m sale of the Northern Superchargers Hundred franchise to the Sun Group. The ECB had referred the matter to the regulator after The Guardian revealed the payment in June.
