5G rollout demands thousands of new base stations — Poland is lagging behind
Piotr Kuriata, head of the Polish Telecommunications Engineers Association, says that universal access to fast internet requires a major expansion of digital infrastructure, including the construction of new 5G base stations. He warns that Poland is significantly behind Western EU countries in this area, describing the gap as "an absolute chasm". Without substantial investment, reliable nationwide coverage will not be achievable.
