India transfers missile technologies to private firms to boost production

India has approved the transfer of technologies for all conventional missile systems from a state-run organisation to private companies in a bid to accelerate production. The move follows lessons from conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East, which exposed difficulties in replenishing depleted missile and ammunition stocks. India's defence ministry described the initiative as a step toward building domestic industrial capacity for rapid restocking during hostilities.
