Over 580 dead in Nepal-China floods as rescue efforts halted
A flash flood on the Nepal-Tibet border has killed more than 580 people, with over 2,400 still missing. Nepal and China briefly suspended rescue operations after a barrier lake formed by the disaster overflowed. Scientists believe a partial glacier collapse triggered the deadly wall of water that swept through villages and towns in the region.
