Expert: EU's €250m penalty proposal against Meta is political but may yield new evidence

Legal counsel Dr Rafał Skibicki told Rzeczpospolita that the European Commission's letter proposing a €250 million fine against Meta is political in nature but not binding on the Commission itself. He noted, however, that the document could supply the Commission with new evidence in its proceedings. Skibicki is an academic and specialist in technology law.
