Riabczuk: UPA did not collaborate with Germans — Ukraine expects historical reciprocity from Poland
Ukrainian writer and publicist Mykola Riabchuk, in a letter to Onet's editors, argues that the UPA did not collaborate with Nazi Germany. He concedes Ukrainians should condemn the Volhynia massacres, but insists Poles must also acknowledge the broader historical context — including the colonisation of Eastern Borderlands and what he describes as de facto apartheid in interwar Poland. He calls for mutual recognition from both sides.
