The Japanese kamikaze pilot who survived the war tells his story

Towards the end of World War II, Japan deployed thousands of kamikaze pilots — averaging just 21 years old — on suicide missions against US naval forces. More than 3,800 pilots died in the attacks, killing over 7,000 allied naval personnel. BBC reporter Mélodie Sforza met one of the last surviving former kamikaze pilots, who escaped certain death.
