Wujek miners stage underground protest against outsourcing of mine closure

Eleven miners at the Wujek colliery in Katowice have launched an underground protest against plans to involve external companies in the mine's closure process. Workers are demanding that Polish Mining Group (PGG) carry out the liquidation using its own workforce. The Sierpień 80 trade union has also announced a demonstration outside the Ministry of Energy and PGG headquarters.
