SBI buys 20% stake in Indonesia's Ajaib for $270 million to expand yen stablecoin

Japanese financial giant SBI has acquired a 20% stake in Indonesian online brokerage Ajaib for $270 million. The move aims to build a cross-border, blockchain-based settlement network and expand a yen-denominated stablecoin across Southeast Asia.
