Polish government revives alcohol excise tax hike to fund public health

Finance Minister Andrzej Domański confirmed that the government is sticking with its plan to raise the excise tax on alcohol. The extra revenue is earmarked for the National Health Fund (NFZ). The proposal is returning after being previously blocked by a presidential veto.
