Secret schools defy Taliban ban on education for Afghan girls
Under Taliban rule, Afghan girls are officially barred from education beyond sixth grade. Across the country, however, secret classrooms have emerged to defy the ban, with young women determined to learn at personal risk. Journalist Elian Peltier visited one such covert school to meet the students defying the Taliban's restrictions.
