Pakistan built its crypto regulatory regime using just 8% of its budget

Pakistan has launched its virtual asset regulatory framework in under six months, spending approximately $200,000 — just 8% of its allocated budget. Minister of State Bilal Bin Saqib made the announcement at the Bitcoin Asia conference in Hong Kong on August 28, highlighting that the remaining 92% of approved funds went unspent. The country moved from primary legislation to a live licensing regime for virtual assets within that period.
