Human presence reshapes animal movement as powerfully as roads and cities

Scientists tracking 4,500 animals across multiple species found that the mere physical presence of humans can reshape wildlife movement patterns as strongly as roads or urban development. However, different species reacted in very different ways, suggesting that conservation efforts need to become far more targeted and species-specific.
