Battle in Kakhovka reservoir vegetation — drones useless, close combat rages

Russian forces are using dense vegetation on the bed of the dried-up Kakhovka reservoir in an attempt to push towards Zaporizhzhia in south-eastern Ukraine, the New York Times reports. The thick undergrowth limits the use of drones, leading to direct close-combat engagements with Ukrainian forces. It is one of the most unconventional fronts of the ongoing war.
