Boniek: Lech Wasted a Historic Chance, Raków Lacks the Right Mentality
Former UEFA President Zbigniew Boniek delivered a scathing verdict on Polish clubs' European performances. He said Lech Poznań wasted a historic opportunity to reach the Champions League, while Jagiellonia Białystok was the rightful favourite and deserved to advance. Raków, despite twice levelling the score, lost to Hajduk Split in extra time — which Boniek attributed to a lack of mental fortitude.
