Poland wants EU coalition against Meta — fine could reach billions of euros

Poland's Minister of Digitalisation Krzysztof Gawkowski announced on Friday that Poland will push EU leaders to join a collective complaint against Meta over fraudulent advertising. A joint EU action could result in a fine of many billions of euros, far exceeding the roughly one billion zloty a national-level penalty could bring. Gawkowski said Meta had "gone too far" in its practices.
