AI Act: what's actually been delayed and what applies now?

Reports of a full "AI Act delay" are misleading. The Digital Omnibus package postponed only the requirements for high-risk AI systems, while the general application date of Regulation 2024/1689 and transparency obligations remain in force. Companies are therefore still required to comply with a significant portion of the rules immediately.
