Norway's King Harald V dies aged 89

King Harald V of Norway, who served as the country's ceremonial head of state since 1991, has died aged 89. He had consistently refused to abdicate, saying his oath as king was for life. The throne has passed automatically to his son, Crown Prince Haakon.
