Polish soldiers to be allowed to buy some of their own uniform items

Poland's Ministry of National Defence plans to amend regulations allowing soldiers to legally wear privately purchased footwear and uniform components while on duty. Retired General Roman Polko said the military should have moved away from the current system long ago, calling the planned change economical. The reform aims to give soldiers greater flexibility in choosing personal equipment.
