Severe storms to hit western Poland — up to 50 l/m² and flood risk

Severe thunderstorms moving in from western Europe are set to hit Poland on Friday evening and overnight. The Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMGW) warns that western regions could see up to 50 litres per square metre of rainfall, with a real risk of local flooding. Conditions will remain calm for most of the day before rapidly deteriorating.
