Poland joins developed markets — PIE economists expect gradual benefits despite smaller index weight
Economists at the Polish Economic Institute assess that the benefits of Poland's reclassification to developed market status will materialise gradually. They note, however, that Poland's weighting in the new index will be lower than in its current one. The change in classification is seen as an important signal for foreign investors.
