Poland's solidarity levy rising to 5% and covering more taxpayers
Poland's solidarity levy — an additional tax on the highest earners — is set to rise from 4 to 5 percent. At the same time, the income threshold for lump-sum taxation is being lowered, meaning some entrepreneurs will be pushed out of that scheme and become liable for the levy for the first time. The changes will significantly expand the number of people required to pay it.
