Russian director convicted of poisoning children at daycare — won't serve until 2035
A court in St Petersburg's Vyborgsky district has convicted Anna Lepkovich, general director of Rutsi LLC, to two years in a strict-regime penal colony for sanitary violations linked to food supplies at the private "Delfin" daycare centre that led to children being poisoned. Because she is a mother, Russian law shielded her from immediate imprisonment — she will not serve her sentence until 2035.
