Only 47% of Polish home appliances covered by EU import shield — industry sounds alarm

The EU's new industrial protection mechanism (CBAM) will cover only 47% of large household appliances manufactured in Poland. Industry representatives are calling for it to be extended to dishwashers, ovens, cookers, hoods and hobs, as surging imports from Asia increasingly threaten Polish factories. Poland failed to secure better terms during the mechanism's design phase, producers warn.
