Lawsuit claims xAI trained Grok on child sexual abuse material
A woman identified as Jane Doe has sued xAI, alleging the company trained its Grok AI models on child sexual abuse material (CSAM) that includes images of her created when she was preschool age in the early 2000s. The Canadian Centre for Child Protection notified her that AI-generated CSAM depicting her had been identified on xAI's platform. The case comes as regulators and courts are increasingly scrutinising how CSAM is being used to train AI models.
