Glacier collapse triggers Nepal floods: 330 dead, 1,500 missing

Devastating flash floods near the Nepal-Tibet border have killed more than 330 people and left over 1,500 missing, including more than 65 Americans, after a glacier collapsed on Wednesday, Aug. 26. The Trishuli River surged 9 meters in just 30 minutes at Galchhi, 33 km west of Kathmandu. Authorities are warning the public to stay away from the banks of the Bhotekoshi, Narayani and Trishuli rivers as landslide risks remain high.
