Wegner throws over 85 m in Zurich, beats Gailums by nearly 11 metres

Dawid Wegner delivered the second-best throw of his career at the Diamond League meeting in Zurich, exceeding 85 metres and throwing last in the order. He beat Latvia's Patriks Gailums by nearly 11 metres — just two weeks after losing the European Championship bronze medal to him by a single centimetre. Sri Lanka's Rumesh Tharanga Pathirage also set a new world lead at the same meeting.
