Two die of measles in Pennsylvania including a newborn — RFK Jr. spreads anti-vaccine misinformation
Two people died from measles in Pennsylvania, the state's first measles-linked deaths in 35 years and the first US measles fatalities of 2026. One victim was a newborn from Lancaster County; both were unvaccinated. Nearly 2,800 cases have been confirmed nationally this year, the highest total since 1991. Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. responded by posting a wave of anti-vaccine misinformation on social media.
