NASA's Roman Space Telescope launches Sunday on decade-long mission

NASA's Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope is set to launch Sunday at 7:26 a.m. EDT aboard a SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket from Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The observatory will embark on a potentially decade-long mission to hunt for distant exoplanets, map the Milky Way, and probe dark matter. Even if all goes smoothly, the first images won't be available immediately after launch.
