Malaysia to repatriate first group of Myanmar nationals in September

Malaysia has announced it will repatriate its first group of Myanmar nationals in September. The country hosts over 215,000 UNHCR-registered refugees and asylum seekers, including more than 126,000 Rohingya from Myanmar — its largest refugee community. Human rights groups have raised concerns about the safety of those returned amid ongoing conflict in Myanmar.
