Russian universities lure students into army contracts with high-pay offers

At least 47 of Russia's top 50 rated universities are actively encouraging students to sign contracts with the defence ministry and serve in the military, according to an analysis by independent outlet Novaya Gazeta Europe. Thirty-two of those institutions run dedicated training programmes for drone specialists. High salaries are the primary incentive promoted to students.
