From 3 September new drivers face zero alcohol limit and mandatory probationary period

New rules take effect on 3 September for drivers who obtain their licence from that date. They face a mandatory probationary period lasting up to several years and a zero-tolerance blood alcohol limit of 0.0 per mille. The changes are aimed at improving road safety.
