Poland rejects nuclear warheads on its soil but backs NATO nuclear deterrence, deputy minister says

Polish Deputy Defence Minister Paweł Zalewski said after meeting US Deputy Defence Secretary Elbridge Colby that Poland does not want nuclear warheads on its territory, while still seeking to be part of NATO's nuclear deterrence framework. He also disclosed that Poland is in advanced talks on several locations for permanent US troop stationing. A US administration official is expected to visit Poland soon regarding the matter.
