Meta's $18bn settlement forces new child safety rules on Instagram and Facebook

As part of an $18 billion settlement, Meta will introduce new child protection features on Instagram and Facebook in the US. Planned changes include a night-time curfew and a two-hour daily usage limit for young users. It is one of the largest settlements related to child online safety.
