AI can detect heart disease in women using routine mammograms, study finds

Researchers have found that routine mammograms can be analysed using artificial intelligence to identify coronary heart disease, high blood pressure and previous strokes in women. Cardiovascular disease is the world's leading cause of death in women and is frequently underdiagnosed. The method could enable earlier detection without the need for additional screening tests.
