Documents refute RFK Jr.'s testimony: Samoa trip was about vaccines after all
New documents obtained by the Associated Press and The Guardian contradict testimony by US Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who told lawmakers that his 2019 Samoa visit had "nothing to do with vaccines." A letter Kennedy sent to Samoa's prime minister before the visit used the words "vaccine" or "vaccination" eight times and requested permission to study MMR vaccines following two children's deaths. A deadly measles outbreak followed shortly after his visit.
