Babiš: EU fund cuts unacceptable, Czech Republic pushes back
Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš, speaking after a meeting with European Council President António Costa, declared that the EU's next budget must not worsen the situation of weaker economies or countries with strong industrial sectors. The Czech government is opposing planned cuts to EU funds. Prague also wants revenues from the sale of CO2 emission allowances to remain with individual member states.
