Moonwell exploit on Base network: attackers steal around $8.7 million

Security firms CertiK and PeckShield estimated losses of around $8.7 million after an attacker manipulated the collateral price of the MAMO token on the Moonwell lending protocol running on the Base network. Moonwell confirmed it is investigating the incident.
