Torvalds' 'debug session from hell': AI kept saying the bug was impossible to fix

Linux creator Linus Torvalds described a gruelling debugging session in a kernel commit, during which his AI assistant repeatedly advised him to give up, calling the problem impossible to solve. The fix turned out to be simply changing a "round_up()" function call to "round_down()", but required 24 debug patches and 18 kernel boots to isolate. Torvalds then had the AI write up the full report of the session.
