Smart nanoparticles illuminate and destroy glioblastoma — 100% survival in mice

Scientists developed smart nanoparticles capable of illuminating hidden glioblastoma cells during surgery and then destroying microscopic residual cancer afterward. In mouse trials, the treatment prevented recurrence and achieved 100% survival at the 60-day mark. The technology has not yet been tested in humans.
