At least 180 dead in Nepal floods caused by glacial collapse

The extreme Himalayan geography — with steep valleys and unstable glacial masses — caused confusion early on about the origin of the disaster and contributed to its devastating speed. France 24 correspondent Leela Jacinto examined how the terrain shaped both the disaster and the initial reporting uncertainty.
